Broker's Comments

Westerly yachts are well regarded as rugged, comfortable platforms to enjoy life afloat that are easily handled and forgiving at sea. The Westerly Griffon is no excpetion, with good external space and internal accommodation. This version is a nice example, having been re-engined in 2008 and benefiting from the installation of a calorifier to supply hot water. The headlinings have been renewed in a number of areas and the sails stored off the boat when not in use. The boat was surveyed in 2018, with recommendations carried out. The owner has had the keel bolts removed, replaced and resealed (2018), alongside replacement of all skin fittings and seacocks (2018). Other upgrades included replacement windows, a Lewmar hatch and self-tailing Lewmar sheet winches. This sale also includes a recent Honwave inflatable dinghy and Honda outboard, both well known makes and valuable additions to a yachting inventory.

This boat is an attracftive option for singlehanded use, as a starter boat and for use in shallow waters and coastal seas, in addition to further afield when the weather permits. We are pleased to present the boat for sale and to organise a viewing if you would like.
