Offshore Powerboat Challenge Weekend – June 20 – 22

June 16, 2008

Boatshed Florida, part of the largest yacht brokerage group in the world, will be making sure that the Don Aronow Memorial Ocean Race (Sunny Isles Beach, Fl) ends with style as they host a Victory Celebration on Friday June 20.

The race weekend, (June 20 – 22) organized by the Historic Offshore Boat Race Association (HORBA) Ocean Racing LLC, Xtremepowerboats.com and Tres Martin Performance School, will start with the fastest powerboats modern and classic, racing full throttle from Sunny Isles Beach to Bimini and back. And on their return, the racers, crew, supporters and visitors will be invited to a celebration Fizz@Five with Boatshed Florida in the racers’ village. Live music (Albert Castenglia), champagne, beer and wine are all being provided by Boatshed Florida to make sure that the end of the first day is celebrated with a party.

The non-profit event will be benefiting Take Stock in Children - www.takestockinchildren.com - which has a proven record of helping low-income children stay out of trouble, graduate from high school, attend college, and become productive citizens in the State of Florida.
