In October members of the Boatshed team traveled to Paris for Paris Fashion Week, as guests of Dato' Nancy Yeoh, the well-known international public relations guru. Fashion and boating enjoy a close association, and Boatshed is working with a number of agent representatives developing ideas to roll-out more Boatshed offices across Asia.

This involves strategic partnerships between fashion and boating impresarios and personalities; an approach that follows the extremely successful relationships developed in Asia amongst the fashion industry and Formula 1 motorsport.

The Boatshed team spent a successful star-studded evening with Dato’ Nancy Yeoh and Jimmy Choo OBE, the legendary Malaysian fashion icon, best known for his stylish shoe collections much adored by women the world over, including, famously, the late Princess Diana. Chris Capel from Boatshed Business Sales commented “A fantastic evening and an ideal networking opportunity to spend some time discussing ways that Boatshed and the boating industry can better integrated into Asian markets". Neil Chapman, CEO of boatshed.com, discussed business development and networking ideas and opportunities for the Boatshed group with key Asian ministerial and government representatives and with a variety of fashion industry celebrities and experts. Whilst chatting with Jimmy Choo, Neil discovered Jimmy's love of boats and that the fashion entrepreneur might shortly be on the lookout for a boat himself, on board which to escape his busy lifestyle. Neil promised to review Boatshed's sales stock for something suitable!

A successful evening in Paris was concluded with a trip and celebrity party on board the MV River King as she cruised along the banks of the River Seine.
