Broker's Comments

This Beneteau Oceanis 510 is the three-cabin owner’s version, with a crew cabin in the forepeak. She's had two owners from new and has mainly been used privately.

She’s a big, beamy boat and that space is definitely noticeable both above and below decks. The cockpit is generous with twin wheels and access to a drop-down transom platform. The teak decks are laid throughout and show wear in places, including some thinning and areas where the caulking is lifting (see photos).

Below decks, the saloon is very spacious, with the typical Oceanis finish — lots of wood and natural light. Some areas show signs of general wear and use. The galley is large with plenty of storage and workspace. Cabins and heads appear clean and well-kept, though the soft furnishings and upholstery would benefit from a thorough clean.

The rig includes an in-mast furling mainsail and a furling genoa. The owner tells us the in-mast system was replaced recently. The standing rigging looks aged and due for inspection. There are four winches, including one electric, with lines led aft to the cockpit.

The engine bay looks clean and dry (see photos), and there is a video available showing the engine starting and running. There's no recent servicing information onboard. Battery terminals show signs of corrosion and may need attention. Navigation equipment and systems are present but appear to be older.

She was last antifouled in 2022, and the underwater hull has been kept clean with regular diver visits since. The boat hasn’t been heavily used recently and would benefit from general recommissioning — including checking seacocks, replacing batteries, and routine servicing — before setting off on longer passages.

Overall, a very spacious and comfortable cruiser with plenty of scope for updating and getting back out on the water.
