These engines are renowned for their robustness, smooth operation and high torque, offering excellent performance and reliability for a yacht of this size.
At a cruising speed of around 18 knots, the combined fuel consumption is estimated between 170 and 200 litres per hour, depending on load and sea conditions.

The engines appear to run smoothly, but no major servicing has been carried out over the past four years. A comprehensive mechanical inspection and full servicing are therefore recommended before undertaking extended cruising.

A major refit seems to be completed in 1999, which included overhaul and technical upgrades of the propulsion and mechanical systems.

Built in 1985 by Azimut Yachts (Azimut-Benetti Group) in Avigliana, Italy, this yacht features a hand-laid GRP (fibreglass) construction typical of Azimut’s robust and long-lasting builds from that era.

The hull and superstructure were laminated with thick, high-quality layup, ensuring excellent strength and durability.

According to the official registration documents, the yacht measures 19.88 metres in length with a beam of 4.80 metres. However, documentation from the 1999 refit (when the vessel was named Chardonnay) indicates an overall length of approximately 21.30 metres and a beam increased to 5.10 metres, most likely due to the aft swim platform extension carried out during that refit. These figures are provided in good faith for information purposes, while the official dimensions remain those recorded on the vessel’s registration.

This modification reflects the quality of the 1999 refit, which enhanced the yacht’s profile and functionality without altering its original design integrity.
