The Southampton Boat Show drew to a close today and Boatshed.com along with many other exhibitors can report that it has been another very successful and enjoyable event. Our stand this year which was an actual shed was incredibly busy and as always was manned by members of the Boatshed team throughout the show so we were able to explain all the fantastic Boatshed features to visitors and demonstrate how best to use the site. Business was brisk in both the buying and selling of used boats and we also had great interest from those wanting to join the Boatshed team and open new Boatshed offices to expand the business further.

We were able to demonstrate our new web design and explain in detail how to use our advanced search and boat finder functions to those looking to buy a used boat. And for those with a used boat to sell we could explain and demonstrate in detail how the Boatshed system works to market their boat effectively.

We had our own celebrations on the stand too. Suzzanne McDonald of Boatshed Medway and Kent was presented with flowers and cinema tickets from the rest of the Boatshed team as she had our highest brokerage sales figure in August, selling over £1,000,000 worth of boats in the month. Suzzanne was delighted to have achieved this but in a style so typical of her said that the presentation would spur her on to do better in the future!

On Wednesday Boatshed.com had a very special fizz@five event, many of our friends, both customers and boat owners as well as colleagues from within the marine industry joined us to celebrate 10 years of Boatshed. There was plenty of fizz to celbrate in style and many toasts to Boatshed’s next 10 years were made.

Even though work is such good fun at Boatshed the team did find time to attend the parties and events during the show, our favourite being the nautically themed party hosted by the show’s sponsors PSP. The Boatshed team arrived suitably dressed for the event in full pirate regalia.
