Broker's Comments

The Westerly Griffon was the worthy successor to the phenomenally popular Centaur, and this is a nice example. She’s built with Westerly’s characteristic solidity: for example, the hardwood handholds both in the saloon and on deck can only be described as massive, and the deck-gear and ground tackle looks suitable for boats at least one size up. The Griffon is also full of clever and practical ideas, such as the full size saloon table that hinges up out of the way against the forward bulkhead and the sliding frame that pulls out from the port settee to create a generous double berth in the saloon. On deck there is a good-sized, deep, cockpit; four substantial winches and all lines led aft. The transom-hung rudder’s tiller folds up to maximise space in the cockpit. All in all, this is a practical and attractive yacht whose capabilities exceed her comparatively diminutive size.
