Boarding the vessel is via the swim step through a transom centerline door into the cockpit. Then through a centerline sliding doorway into the aft end of the saloon. To port is U-shaped dining and to starboard is a wood burning cabin heat stove. Just forward of the stove is a cabinet with both a washer and dryer. To port overhead is a hanging galley storage locker above a counter. The galley is to port with under-counter refrigerator with freezer. There is an L-shaped counter with storage below with a large double SS sink. This upper galley location provides plenty of space and visibility. There is a small chest freezer installed below the deck. The lower helm station is to starboard. To starboard of the fixed helm seat is a sliding door to the side deck. This feature really aids in docking, whether single handing or with crew as it provides for a mid ship line direct to the dock.

Moving forward takes you through a centerline passage and down a few steps to the forward two sleeping cabins and separate head with shower. The master cabin to port has a double berth and the forward cabin has two separate single bunks. Both cabins have ample storage and opening hatches for light and ventilation. The floors are parquet and the wall surfaces are teak.

This Europa style provides covered walk-around side decks. The generously large fly bridge is accessed up a step ladder from the aft cockpit. This flybridge includes: SS rails all around, solar panels, a storage locker, seating, a Bimini cover and the upper helm controls.

Broker's Comments

5 VIRTUAL TOURS - 1 VIDEO - 119 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS & BROKER'S COMMENTS CAN BE VIEWED OF Marine Trader 40.

This 40' Europa twin-engine trawler with flybridge is a classic, stout model from one of the Taiwanese boat builders, well-regarded for building strong fiberglass hulls and using lots of lovely teak wood inside and out. This popular two cabin sedan layout with the flybridge and Europa styling is a relatively rarer and sought-after model. With twin Ford-Lehman diesels and built-in rolling chock stabilizers this will be a very stable, comfortable cruiser. The washer and dryer and cabin heating system contribute to live aboard comfort. The fact that the teak planking of the original decking has been recently removed and a fiberglass top deck material has been added will be of interest to those seeking a lower maintenance boat.
